Dr. Brent Hodge, Principal

Dr. Hodge grew up in Sedalia, MO. He began his career in education teaching science at Otterville R-VI. After that, Hodge taught biology and was an assistant baseball coach at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia. He has been with the Macon R-1 School District for six years. Three of those years were as the high school assistant principal, two as the high school principal, and this past year as the superintendent. His Bachelor's degree is from UCM in Warrensburg and is in Biology Education. He has a Master's and Specialist Degree from William Woods University. In 2020, he completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University.

"I look forward to returning to the building level to work with high school students and staff. Working at the high school level is extremely rewarding because you see the whole individual. Students have worked hard throughout their elementary and middle school years, and when they get to high school, we see and experience these students becoming the young adults that will lead our communities."
